  A well known spa, the biggest in Romania, is located on the northwestern part of the country in a hills region, 9 km. from the town of Oradea. In the center of the resort there is a natural park with a thermal lake where the "nymphanea lotus thermalis" - a very rare water lily is growing surviving here from as early as the glacial era.
