Rating and comments
  The town caters for all ages and tastes. Its many historical and cultural points of interest provide plenty to see. For the more adventurous, the mountains provide a range of winter and summer sporting activities and in any season, Sinaia is a nature-lovers paradise.
  Sinaia is very popular as a weekend retreat for city dwellers as it is 45km south of Brasov and 125km west of Bucharest yet never feels crowded and maintains a stress free atmosphere.

Attractions:
  • Good, reliable snow allows the ski slopes to be used for many months of the year. The cable car ride up the 2000 metres is an experience in itself and leads to numerous slopes ideal for beginners and intermediates. New cable car installations in nearby Dorului Valley are a perfect training ground for new skiers.
  • Horse-drawn sleighs run throughout the winter which give a unique opportunity to see the beautiful sights.
  • Peles Castle is one of the most impressive buildings in Romania which was built for the former King and was Ceaucescu's summer home for many years. Not forgetting the wonderful gothic architecture and extensive grounds, its main attraction is some of the most impressive collections or art, weapons and furnishings in Europe.
  • In the town there are numerous elegant, rustic restaurants which offer delicious Romanian and Serbian food. From the Palace and Montana hotels to the Taverna Sarbului Chalet, and itself the Marami, Sinaia is not short of beautiful and extremely reasonable cuisine.
  • After sunset the hotel bars and street night-clubs come to life. Have a leisurely drink in the Green Points Club or Old Nick Pub, have a dance at the Blue Angel discotheque or try your luck at the new Maxim Casino. Alternatively you can just stroll around the picturesque parks and mountain trails.

    The Marami Hotel
      Recently built in the style of the Peles Royal area, the Marami offers all the modern comforts expected of a new hotel along with beautiful scenery, tranquillity and traditional Romanian charm. Set just one mile out of town, the hotel is convenient but still peaceful being next to the Peles castle gardens and with the Carpathian mountains as its backdrop.

    Conference Hall:
      The facilities that come with the Marami's 40 person Conference hall include: phone/fax/internet access, TV/video, retroprojector, flip-chart, projection screen, climatizer and an auxiliary office complete with PC, phone etc.

    For your convenience the Marami can organise ski passes, ski tuition, sightseeing tours with experienced local guides and transfers (airport or Railway station).

    Restaurant & Bar
      The hotel restaurant is modern and stylish, comfortably seating 40 people, with air conditioning, and even has a separate annex for a romantic dinner. The chefs serve traditional Romanian food and cater for a wide range of tastes. Their deserts are a speciality. Within the restaurant is a fully equipped cocktail bar which stays open until the early hours. The room can also be booked for private parties and receptions.
